Rail

Hanson UK with HeidelbergCement has a technical product capability that has been proven in rail tunnelling projects worldwide and Hanson has been optimally situated to play a vital role in the London’s Crossrail project.

Ports

Supplying the London Gateway Port extension with aggregates, cement, Regen (Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag) and concrete has been our highest-profile port contract to date.

We have also worked on a number of other port and quay construction projects, including Southampton’s container terminal, and ongoing maintenance contracts.

Featured project: London Gateway port extension

Using experience gained at Sellafield, Hanson UK created mixes that dealt with sulfate and chlorine attack and reduced heat generation in the mass concrete pour.
