We have supported Ribble Catchment Conservation Trust, operating as Ribble Rivers Trust (RRT), for over 15 years, helping it become one of the biggest rivers trusts in the UK and Ireland.
Initially we provided office space for two members of staff at our Ribblesdale cement works and, as the trust has grown, we have provided further space to allow the charity to procure and store materials and equipment safely and accommodate additional personnel.
We have also periodically donated aggregates from our on-site quarry, for use in a number of fish passes.
Jack Spees, RRT chief executive, said: “Hanson’s support is not just valuable to our charity, but to our local environment. We, and our rivers, are extremely grateful."
