Showcasing innovation and sustainability at Concrete Centre event

Two of our technical experts are delivering a seminar on cement replacements and innovation at The Concrete Centre’s annual Café Concrete event.

The pop-up visual concrete event is being held on October 29 at the Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre on the South Bank in London.

It will provide inspiration and information on the design and construction of visual concrete and the latest thinking on how it can reduce materials, cut carbon emissions and address important sustainability and circular economy criteria for design.

There will also be presentations from designers of high quality visual concrete projects and seminars from technical experts, including Robin Styles, Hanson Cement technical development manager, and James Branch, Hanson Concrete technical services manager.

Their session will focus on how cement replacements such as GGBS can be used to reduce the eCO2 of concrete, increase its durability and improve its visual appeal. It will also demonstrate how modern cements can incorporate these replacements in a pre-blended form.

Café Concrete is open from 9am until 5pm and is free to visitors. Book now at: https://www.concretecentre.com/Training-Events/Booking/Login.aspx
