Davyhulme wastewater treatment works case study available

Hanson has supplied almost 100,000 cubic metres of specialist concrete for a major modernisation at one of the UK’s biggest wastewater treatment works.

The work at Davyhulme in Trafford, Manchester, forms part of a £200 million, three-year project to modernise the treatment works by owner United Utilities. This investment will protect and improve the environment for generations to come, through cleaner and greener processes with the latest technology.

From its Salford plant and a mobile site plant, Hanson has supplied 69,000 cubic metres of sulfate resistant concrete to main contractor Laing O’Rourke as well as an additional 30,000 cubic metres to piling contractor Keller Foundations.
