Tytherington quarry donates asphalt for village hall car park
Our Tytherington quarry has donated the asphalt needed to resurface the car park at Tytherington village hall, South Gloucestershire.
The quarry donated 40 tonnes of asphalt, and the contracting team completed the works in one day to create a safe and durable surface for the much-used facility.
The newly resurfaced car park will significantly improve accessibility for residents and visitors to the village hall, which hosts a wide range of community events including drama groups, quiz nights and meetings, as well as private functions.
James Brown, Unit Manager at Tytherington quarry said: “We are delighted to be able to help with this project, and we hope it will serve the community for many years to come.”
Richard Williams, Chair of Tytherington village hall committee said: “We’re very grateful to Tytherington quarry for their donation and for the hard work of everyone involved in the project. The new car park surface is a fantastic upgrade and will benefit all visitors to the village hall.”
